    Research Profile

    I am interested in the history of the Polish-Lithuanian union, 1385-1795 and its political and social systems, in particular on the period of the Vasa dynasty, 1587-1648. I have a particular interest in the reign of King John Casimir (Jan Kazimierz), 1648-1668, and his wife, Louise Marie of Gonzaga. I also have interests in the history of warfare in northern and eastern Europe in the early modern period. I have a subsidiary research interest in Swedish political and military history in the early modern period.
