Abstract

C4N3OH7.Zn(H2O)HPO4, built up from 4-rings of ZnO2(H2O)N and HPO4 tetrahedra, is the first neutral, molecular, zincophosphate cluster. The unit-cell packing involves numerous O-H...O and N-H...O hydrogen bonds and pi...pi stacking interactions. Crystal data: C4N3OH7.Zn(H2O)HPO4, M-r = 292.49, triclinic, P1 (No. 2), a = 9.2956(5) Angstrom, b = 11.2077(6) Angstrom, c = 19.8319(12) Angstrom, alpha = 80,314(1)degrees, 78.829(1)degrees, gamma = 89.241 (1)degrees, V = 1997.7(2) Angstrom(3), Z = 4.
