Abstract

The distribution of p values from the between‐groups comparison of baseline variables (‘baseline p values’) in randomised controlled trials (RCT) has been used successfully to assess publication integrity [1-3]. Much of this work was developed and progressed by Carlisle et al. and published in Anaesthesia [1, 3].
