Abstract

Tyre sales at ABC Limited have been negatively affected by declining sales of private vehicles, over-supply in the tyre market, increase in cheaper alternatives, and eroding brand value due to significant quality improvements of domestic competitors. Acknowledging changes to the competitive landscape, combined with growing calls for the tyre industry to explore closed loop supply chains as a mechanism for increasing recycling rates, ABC initiated a project to explore innovative practices that may improve sales performance in the China market.
