Abstract

Our study represents our attempt to address the theoretical void in enterprise pedagogy. Over the past decades, the blurring between the lines of entrepreneurship and enterprise pedagogy has occurred. Such that a unified theory that best illuminates enterprise pedagogy remains elusive. As educators, we acknowledge that enterprise education should ideally be grounded on a theoretical underpinning, which illuminates the distillation of entrepreneurial knowledge. Our attempt, then, is to interprete, solidify and theorise in the face of scholarly differences, a unified theory that challenges and extends existing enterprise knowledge within the limits of critical bounding assumptions. In this study, we attempt to address this void and we have theorised by drawing on the logics of transformative reflexivity. This becomes pertinent as it necessitates an understanding of behaviour located within social and institutional contexts. So located, we seek to address the gap in enterprise education by laying the foundations for effective teaching and quality enterprise pedagogy. Thus, the discussions which we pursue presents a sound but sophisticated approach to teaching quality enterprise education.
