Abstract
The present paper is devoted to the topical problem of the fracture mechanics – the harmonic load of the elastic body with crack. The three-dimensional problem for a plane stationary elliptical crack under normally incident tension-compression wave has been considered. The problem has been solved by the boundary integral equations method using iteration algorithm based on variational principles of the dynamic theory of elasticity. The stress intensity factors (opening mode) have been calculated in the vicinity of the crack’s apex. The comparison with results obtained for the elliptical crack without allowance for crack’s edges contact interaction has been done.
